An 8 year old called me old school this week! What the...?!
So, Brittany's baptism went really well!
It was so funny, we were in charge of filling the font, and promised Brittany on numerous occasions that we would make sure the water was WARM. Well, the font was filling slowly so we turned it up and the poor water heater just couldn't keep up with the amount of water flowing.
Wanting to keep our promise, we went to the kitchen and starting filling big pots with water and boiling them. We made trip after trip from the kitchen to the other side of the stake center with pot after pot of boiling water, to compensate for the icy stuff coming from the faucet. It was hard work, but we sufficiently off-put the frigidity of that font and created a warm environment for her re-birth.
Pretty crazy! Pretty funny. Pretty fun!
