I fell in love today. With a new flavor of yogurt:
Long ago, Yoplait made "Custard Style" yogurt and I loved it. Then they stopped making it. Don't you hate that? Like remember when Snapple made WhipperSnapples? Or do you remember those Koala bear-shaped cookies with stuff inside of them that came in a container shaped like a hexagonal prism? Memories. Mostly of Chad (my brother) eating my Koala snacks because he wanted to "try" my flavor. Then I learned to get the same flavor he did so that his excuse would no longer be valid. He still ate mine.
Anyway, yeah okay Custard style yogurt, right? Well, I was at Macey's last week and they are making it again! I know, right? Awesome. Now it's called 'Thick and Creamy' but it is definitely the same stuff. It is what I have been hoping for every time I've opened a container of yogurt since I was 12. At Macey's I bought two different flavors: classic strawberry and blackberry harvest. In Oregon, blackberries are considered a weed. The incredibly thorny and even more stubborn kind. With that association in mind I'm not really sure why I opted to try blackberry yogurt, but it has been sitting in my fridge for about a week waiting for me to be adventurous.
This morning as I rushed out the door to a meeting I hastily grabbed from the refrigerator shelf the Blackberry Harvest Thick and Creamy variety of Yoplait yogurt. My life will never be the same.
Have you ever smelled or tasted something that reminded you of your past but you're not sure of exactly what it is? Yeah. You get it. This stuff is legit. I will never say another bad thing about blackberries.
Now I have to go do things that grown-ups do like spend money and clean and read stuff. Don't forget to cheer for BYU tonight.

i too love blackberries. even the weed variety. The duck pond near my house was surrounded by blackberry bushes. long story short, they made for the best blackberry cobbler. yum.
Wow Chae, you are getting deep in your old age. I am happy that you have figured out some things about yourself; you will always be "the best" to me! Guess what, they now make "chocolate whipped' Yoplait, heaven in a cup as you like to say! LOVE the picture!! Oh and the bible swear thing? What the heck? ;) Hugs...
I love Thick and Creamy (aka Custard style)!!! I can't believe they make it again. I plan on going to the store tomorrow to get some. Thank you for sharing. I also truly enjoy the new makeover to the blog.
