BYU v. Utah
NBC v. FOX
Good v. Evil
Republicans v. Democrats
South Medford High School Panthers v. North Medford High School Tornadoes
yes, the cross-town rivalry here is fierce. And unfriendly. And while I really don't care much about most rivalries I am thrust into [I applaud President Hinckley's red ties] I will always bleed blue for my alma mater.
We hosted North last night after losing to them by 13 points in Holiday Tournament play last month. A foul-heavy neck and neck game plagued us the first 3 quarters. North had an eerie 4[ish] points over us for much of the last quarter. With 1.8 seconds left in the game one of their posts gained a free throw from his teammate the ref [they might as well have been wearing North Medford jerseys all night]. The opposition is up two points. As the clock slips under one second Mike Brassel lobs the ball toward the basket and swishes a three-quarter court shot to give the Panthers the win. Students rushed the court. Bob and I were on our feet in the best reserved seats in the house. Screaming. it was epic. Here's the clip from the news if you want to see it.

I'm lucky. I like my life. And my family. Et al.
do you like January's playlist?

That. Was. Awesome. One little observation that was surprisingly clear to me watching that news clip: South's gym (as seen in the boys game clips at South) puts North's gym to shame (as seen in the clips of the girl's game at North).
And I am greatly enjoying January's playlist :)
#1. I'm surprised Abby's is your favorite! Bruno's is totally mine! Of course, that's closer to my house and Abby's is closer to yours...funny how that works!
and #2. I'm sad South won, as I forever Tornado fan myself. But I do have to admit...that was awesome! Would have been fun to see!
They showed the South Vs. North moment on the news HERE IN UTAH! It was random that we saw it, Clay was flipping channels and I was in the hallway when he started yelling something I couldn't understand. All I caught was that there was something amazing on TV. I walk out there and I see the South Medford gym on TV and the winning shot! We're famous!
